Meet Grant Ison
Introducing Grant
Grant Ison represents the next generation of legal counsel at Ison Law, LLC. He began his journey with the firm as an intern in 2016, continued working throughout law school, and joined full-time in 2019 after passing the Ohio bar exam. His long history with the firm gives him a deep understanding of its values, the clients it serves, and the kind of steady guidance people look for when they walk through the door.
Grant’s work centers on sitting down with clients, understanding what they want to accomplish, and helping them figure out the smartest and most practical way to achieve their goals. He knows that nobody reaches out to an attorney without some level of worry or stress, and he values the moments when a client says they are sleeping easier or feeling real relief after finishing an estate plan or business matter.
Grant earned his Bachelor’s degree from Miami University in 2011 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2019. He is a member of The Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
Outside of work, Grant and his wife can often be found running around with Zuri and Dot at the Godown Dog Park. When they are not with the dogs, they are drinking coffee, reading books, or watching 90 Day Fiancé. Grant is an avid movie watcher, practices yoga, and is working hard to become a less terrible golfer.

What is the most interesting part of your job?
Our clients. We work with so many people who are building things, and it is rewarding to help someone start a business or plan for the future and then watch them succeed.
What is the biggest mistake attorneys can make?
Thinking they know everything.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
Put me on an island and forget about me.
